it’s smaller then i thought from the picture but honestly it’s perfect size and was hoping it wouldn’t be so big , just big enough to hold the 15g bottle of kohl i got from this website and easy to hold while applying , and it is , it’s very good quality and perfect size to hold 15g of kohl powder and the applicator stick is smooth as it’s described and applies very well, i am very pleased
I bought 2 of these. They are huge but they hold very little kohl. They are like twice the size of a traditional brass makhala but hold only a fraction of the amount of kohl. And once the little kohl is inside, it’s hard to get the applicator inside to close the makhala. Every time you take the applicator out, it’s a mission to get it closed again. Even a tiny bit of kohl prevents the applicator from comfortably reaching the bottom and closing. It’s like all the kohl cakes on the bottom. One of my applicators broke as I tried to close it. Also, one of the 2 makhala that I received was poorly polished. It had dried globs of polish down its sides. I overlooked that because I like the idea of a wooden applicator, but now the applicator is broken. I had purchased 2 spare applicators from here, but they do not fit in this makhala. I was very disappointed because these are not cheap, especially considering the high shipping costs.

I like the ithmid khol. I've never used before it's easy to used and lasts a long time gives a clean look. The wood containers that I bought for each color are nice too, easy to fill without a funnel.
